LOCAL CULTURE TOUR
Hello Ladies and Gantleman.
at 2.45pm we return to the gazebo for coffee breaks and for Muslim friends praying ashar. and at 3.20 we prepare to return to Makassar.
My name is Reza Previa Zahir, I'm student of Tourism Polytechnic Makassar, Majoring in business travel study program.
Now i will share my experience or all of you guys. So this is my first tour go to Maros Regency - Pangkep Regency.
*********************************************************************************
DAY 1
at 7 o'clock in the morning me and my friends from class a and b gathered at the orange building for the absence of seniors , prayer and after that we got ready to go to the maros area at 7.57am.
on the bus we started guiding . its my first experience guiding on the bus like a real tour guide and we are accompanied by maam Maryam , miss Elma from mitra selaras, kak Berlian and the last our driver sir wawan.
( sorry it's not me. he is my friends)
at 9.15am we arrived on Rammang - Rammang and then we heading to "kampung berua" with "katinting" ( katinting is boat).boat costs 1-7 people are 250k and for pre-wedding and photographer 350k. after 30 minutes we arrived in the kampung berua, do you know the meaning of kampung berua?
kampung berua is a new village that can be in the rammang rammang. Kampun berua began to be visited in 2015. access to kampung berua only one, namely using katinting (boat).
And then we go to Ammarung for make observations. ammarung is a stone that sounds because it is touched by water because now is the transition season, the Ammarung spring is dry and very hot in there.
because it's almost lunch time. we go back to the gazebo for lunch there and for Muslim friends, they go to worship. after lunch we go to Diamond Cave. In the diamond cave we can see stone carvings similiar to cow ears and stone similiar to mother holding her child and stone like a giant octopus.
Diamond Cave was discovered four years ago by a local resident named Muslim. he found a diamond cave through a dream. after it was found diamonds were found below to the researchers and the diamonds found were genuine. after that the diamond cave began to be managed and visited by tourists. the road to the diamond cave is very difficult and uphill, and also rocky.
at 2.10pm we begin observation on kingkong stone. or pasaung. the name pasaung means "to swallow" because in the past this place was a place to roost chickens, a place where champions fought, because "swooped chickens" was one of the symbols of manhood 15,000-20,000 years ago. and there are stone carvings that look like kingkong faces.
and at 5.17 we arrived on campus.

DAY 2
At 6.20am we returned to campus for an absence and briefing before we continue the second day of the tour. 7.40am we left the campus. and we continue the guiding that hasn't ended yet.
at 8.50am we arrived at pandai besi in pangkep regency there we got information about badik , parang , knife. marketers' prices in pandai besi are around 50k to 150k. how to make old scrap metal is collected to be burned with wood. while still hot the iron is beaten until it is formed so thin and then scraped off with a crowbar after it is formed, fitted with wood algae covered with cloth so that it is firmly sticky with wood glue.
at 10.000am we're leaving pandai besi and at 10.15am we arrived at sentral tradisional market.where we did the observations and the people there still used local languages mixed with Indonesian. the goods sold are no different from the markets in Makassar. and one of the livelihoods in Pangkep is traders.
after observation at the market, we go to lunch and at 2.30 pm we go to batari the last place we go.
in batari we were welcomed by the owner he explained the effort he had built since 2014. then they showed the process of removing the thorn from the fish and how to package and the price of the batari was quite cheap from the price of 10k-15k
depending on the weight. their income is 90 million rupiah and they are opening employment opportunities for those around.
i think thats all i can telle you abut my experience .. thank you for yur attantion guys:)
